Creating a new task in Outlook -- could not complete the operation

I suddenly cannot create any task in Outlook. When
saving, get the message "Could not complete the
operation. One or more parameters are not valid"

Which parameters is unspecified. Completing all entries
does not resolve issue.

Cannot find topic in help.
