Hi!

I'm working through the last stages of creating an eBook
which I will distribute in Microsoft eBook and Adobe
Acrobat format.

I have commissioned a graphic for the cover which is a
PDF file of letter size. What I want to do is embed this
graphic within the 240 page MSWord document, so that it
occupies the *whole* of the first page. This will be the
eBook 'cover'.

Issues with this are:
1. Native MSWord does not appear to allow PDF objects to
be embedded within it - is there a converter?
2. How do I start headers and footers on page 2 - i.e. so
that they do not interfere with the cover page?

Thanks for your help!

I know next to nothing on ebook-creating, but it seems to be special
kind of "PDF" format. If so, your best bet is to convert to (ordinary)
PDF first and combine the stuff there. Inserting one PDF anywhere into
another is a one-click operation with Acrobat.

2.
File | PageSetup | Layout: Different First page (with the cursor on your
first page) will give you independent header/footer areas for the first
and subsequent pages.
