Creating new view that shows a specific subtask and all children tasks

Mark Riekki

I have a large project plan and would like to give certain
groups an easy way to see their teams tasks, not just an
individual's tasks. I tried to create a new view that
shows a certain subtask and also all of it's children
tasks. I used the filter "task name" equals "xyz", but I
don't see any of the children tasks of "xyz". Any
suggestions on how this could be accomplished would be
appreciated.

Thanks
Mark

Mark,

You can add a custom text field to all of those tasks that contains
the team's name. Publish this custom field to the PWA, then create a
custom view that shows this field and you can filter or group on it.
This way, you only have to create one view, and all teams can group or
filter this common view for their specific tasks
