Hi all,
I have this puzzling error when trying to build the cube in the following
environment
- project server 2007 upto infratructure update
- sql server 2000 SP4
- servers on two different boxes
- dso components and corresponding sp4 on the project server box
This is a new install and building the cube (olap database) had untill now
no success.
Error (translated from dutch):
Error: The analysis Service session had failed with the following error: Can
not connect with the Analysis Services Server (Sql Server Name). Error:
Unable to Connect to the registry on the server (slq server Name), or you are
not a member of the OLAP Administrators group on this server.
At this point the service account providing the credentials for the shared
services provider is also member of the administrators group on both boxes,
member of the olap administrators group on both boxes, runs de analysis
services server service on the sql box and dbo of the projectserver_reporting
database and runs the project server queue and eventing services.
The Olap Administrators group has been given full control on the bin
directory of Sql analysis server installed instance.
Still same error.
I probably missed one very simple thing here.
Please open my eyes.
