Cursor jumps to end of document

When creating a new document -- I hit return and cursor jumps to end of
document.

Beautiful,
This doesn't sound like anything related to Microsoft Project, a
planning and scheduling application. I suggest you post to a newsgroup
that deals with the application you are using.
