Custom animation

How do you use custom animation so that the animations for several objects
are not in order. I want to be able to click on the object and make it do
the action not for the actions to already be in some type of order. How do I
do that?

In your animation task pane, select this item you want to activate with a
click. Right click > Timing > Triggers > Start Effect on Click OF (browse to
item that will cause the item to activate).
