Custom Assignmet field behaviour in Project 2007

Hi, I´ve just upgraded to 2007 and something that has always worked in 2003
is not working anymore.
In Task Usage View I add a Custom field. Suppose I add Text1 custom field.
In Resource Usage View I add Text1 custom field.
For assignemnt rows , the values used to be linked, that is Assignment.Text1
is the same value for the same assignment both in the Task Usage and
Ressource Usage.
In Project 2007 are completely unlinked.
(I-m not tryng to see a task value in a resource, we al lknow taht is not
possible, dont we! . I´m just talking about assignments.)
Thanks

Yep, in 2007 there is a new concept for Assignment Custom Fields. Task
Custom Fields have their own Assignment Custom Field, and Resource Custom
Fields have their own, and these are 2 different fields, not linked in any
way. To see each one, use the Task Usage View for the Task CF, and the
Resource Usage View for the Resource CF. There is probably some VBA magic
you could use to make them have the same value if you need that.

Thanks Sharry. This fully explains my problems, indeed. It will affect a lot
of groups, views , filters I have customized. Could you help me find more
information about this? I had been browsing MSFT KB but there was no
reference to these changes.
Thank you very much.
