Custom colours in Word

How do I create custom colours in Word (as a standard fill colour for
autoshapes and tables)? I know how to set that up for Excel and PowerPoint,
but no idea in Word.

Word 2000 and above offer 24-bit color not only for graphics (as in previous
versions) but also for font, border, and shading colors. No version,
however, allows a custom color to be saved in a custom palette. The best you
can do is save a sample shape or table as an AutoText entry.

Hi Pharny,

It depends on how many colors you need in your pallette.
Word will allow you to store the eight most recently used
custom colors from the Fill=>More Colors=>Custom Colors choices
are part of the fill dialog for a specific document or
if you want it available in other documents in a Word template,
such as Normal.dot.
