Custom properties

I have a Word document that was created on a dutch version of Word 97. The author of the document created a Date as a custom property and set it to 27-aug 2003. Someone sent me this document and told me that the date was 27-aug-2003 and I even got a screenshot showing that, however when I open the document in my Word application (U.S. version - 97 and 2000) the date is one day behind (26-Aug-2003). If I create the document and send it to be opened in that dutch version the day remains the same. Can anyone tell me why this is happening ?

Hi, Fafones. I would say the date change reflects Windows' attempt to adjust for the 6- to 9-hour time difference between the Netherlands and the U.S. I'll bet if you changed your location to the Netherlands in Start | Control Panel | Regional Settings, the date would be what you expect it to be.
