Custom Properties

How can I search for all contract files with expiration dates earlier than
the date you specify? Earlier I had created a custom file property that is
linked to a bookmark that contains the contract's expiration date.

Click File > Open. Then...depending on the version you are
using...click on the TOOLS drop down along the top menu of the Open
dialog box and click either Find or Search. Use the Advanced Search
and enter the details as needed/required to find the info you need.

Well, you didn't say what version of Word you are using, but in 2003
you can just type in the field. Such as, if it doesn't say Checked By,
type it in. that's a Combo box...which means if the info isn't in he
list, you can add it as a new item.

Can't remember, but believe it worked this way for a few versions
back.

Good luck...
