custom report

Varun Kanotra

Hi,

I have created a custom formula field that stores the number of resources
needed on a task based on the work and duration of the task. Now if I want to
create a graph to show these resources over a period of time, how do I do
that.

I am aware of the resource usage graph however, that shows information
resource by resource. I want to create one graph that will show info for all
resource needs on the Y axis, and a time frame on the X axis.

How can I accomplish this?

Hi Varun,

Unfortunately, custom fields are not timephased. :)

However, you can use the Resource Usage graph for multiple resources.
See FAQ 38 "Combined Resource Graph" at:

I also saw your post back to Gary concerning wanting to show assignment
units in decimal not in %. You easily can have MS Project show you
assignment units in decimal. Go to Tools > Options, Schedule tab and
select Decimal for "Show assignment units as a:"

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
