Custom Text Colour

Anyone know how to use custom text colours in word? (not the standard choice
of 8 or so)

You don't if you are using Word 97. The palette was increased with Word
2000.

Hi Mark,

If this is Word 97, you get 16 colours including several shades of grey, but
that's all you can get unless you use WordArt. All later versions provide a
full range.

Thanks for info, not what i wanted to hear but it is the 13th (had hoped
there might be a technical way of getting at the basic colours to change one).
