Custom Text Field contents disappear

Hello,

I am a Project Server 2007 administrator, running on Windows Server 2003,
using SQL Server 2005.

I have a Project Manager who has custom text fields in her project, where
she's displaying plain text data. Except it disappears when it is saved and
re-opened.

Process:

Open project, input data to text field, save project to database, close
project, exit Project.

We've tried rebulding the project in hopes that it was just a file
corruption, but this doesn't seem to be the case, as it's happened again in a
clean project.

The data is just plain text, and it's located in the renamed Text1.

In addition, it seems that the file has duplicated and renamed all the
custom fields to be:
Text2 (Text2), Text2 (Text2);
Start3 (Start3), Start3 (Start3);

Thanks for any advice you can provide!

Try renaming the loca custom fields to something unique not text 2,
etc. Maybe add the project name in front of the local custom field.
Same named field will be overwritten.

Hi Joe,

Text1, text2 and so forth are local custom fields. I do not believe these
get saved to the project server. In a Project Server environment you will
have to use enterprise custom fields for projects that get stored to the
server - these are defined from the PWA server settings interface.

Hope that helps,
- Jussi
