Hi everyone, this is my first post to this group, but i'm used to read
posts to solve most of the problems i had with Project.

This time I didn't find useful information, also because i know that
what i need is not so usual and can be reached in other ways... Anyway
i'll tell my problem

I have created an RBS structure for my organization, so that each
manager has its own group of resources that can be allocated on its
projects. What i need now is the opportunity for the manager to check
the hours of work scheduled in each project for all the resources he
manages, before he allocate the resourse on an activity of a new
project...
I know that I can do that by using Project web access, and in fact i
created a report using the Olap cube showing this information, but the
managers of the organization want to have this kind of information in
the Project Professional.
I found that the "resource usage" view is very close to what i
need...the only problem is that the resource usage view shows the work
only for the resources allocated over the activity i selected...I would
like to see the information for all the resource the manager manages,
before he creates the team from the resource pool organization.
I tried to customize the resource usage view...but it seems to me that
i cannot add new rows in the view, but only adding new
coloumns...that's not what i need...
Is it possible in any way (i mean also using vb6, or creating new
custom views) showing into a view from Project Professional alle the
resource managed by a project manager and not only the ones allocated
on the selected activity???

I'll be very thanksful if anyone could give me a solution to my problem
(i don't need an easy solution... just a solution! :-D)

In the future, please post your Project Server questions to the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this newsgroup is devoted to
the Microsoft Project desktop application only. To answer your question,
your PM's cannot do what you desire in any view in Microsoft Project
Professional. Instead, I recommend that you teach them to navigate to PWA,
click the Resources menu, and then click the View Resource Assignments link
in the sidepane on the left. They can see everything they want there. Hope
this helps.
