customizing signature page

Hi,

This should be simple. I embed a picture (.gif) in the
signature page using word. I format the picture
as "behind text" and move to the right of the page since
in my email I want to type on the left and have that
picture on the right. But when using the signature, the
picture is always on reverts to no formatting and is on
the left in the way of where I want to type. Any
suggestions on how to keep the picture formatting?
