Cut and Paste to 'Find and Replace' does not work

S

Stuart

I am trying to cut (text or a character) and paste it into the 'Find What'
box in 'Find and Replace', but this does not work. Nothing is pasted. I can
type in as normal but cannot paste anything.

It depends on what you are trying to cut and paste. Special characters such
as paragraph marks (^p) or tab marks (^t) must use those lowercase symbols to
talk to the computer.

Yes, I apprciate that, but the menu does not appear at all when I right-click
on the dialog box, so I cannot paste anything there. Perhaps my Word has got
corrupted, but Detect and Repair does not solve it, and everything else is
fine.

Using Ctrl+v will allow you to paste from the clipboard into the controls on
the Find>Replace dialog.

Ctrl+c can be used to copy from the controls.
