I have split a database with the backend being MS 2000 and the
frontends (2 are MS 2000 and 1 is MS 2002)
No doubt, I seem to be running into data corruption issues stemming
from the 2002 version (i.e. the 2002 user runs a report or does an
update to a table >> gets an error - 'database name not recognized')
To triage, I'm able to fix the corrupted backend with a third-party
program and I'm in the process of seeing if we can get the 2002 user
onto 2000....but I haven't found anything online that specifically
states that my current set up wouldnt work, of if it could, steps on
how to configure it correctly.
Everyone is running MSJet4.0 and have full access rights via UNC path
back to the backend db...
Any one have any ideas?
TIA
