database question

Hi I am used to frontpage for doing my simple website but now I want to
incorporate a databse search routine for some used vehicles we have. I want
to be able to have scrolling list to search for ex. a ford the the make
bronco then a button to cleick search and then have a list come up of all the
ones I have that has like the year the color the unit number etc and more
info. I also want to have a link in that brief description where a small pop
up comes up with a picture of the turck then I would like to a password
protected area where others in my office can see details the public can't
about this truck. Is this possible to do with the frontpage package or do I
need to get something else.

Also with this database I want to be able import new vehicles this way and
export it to.

So can this be done with Frontpage 2002?

Hi janice,

You're talking about a full-blown web application here, not something you
can drum up with the fairly simple database tools in FrontPage. That doesn't
mean you can't DO it with FrontPage; it means you have to be a programmer to
do it, with or without FrontPage. Depending upon your host Operating System,
you would use ASP (Windows), PHP (Unix) or some other server-side
programming technology.
