Date selection error

Hello,

When attemptin to select a start date for a project - I always receive an
error message saying thaty the date is invalid.
This happens even if I use the embedded calendar.
My start date is nothing unusual 23/10/06 - I have tried the AMerican
version 10/23/06 - the error message shows another option of writing the date
- this also doesn't work.

Has this happened to anyone before?

Any ideas for possible solutions?

I've never seen this issue before but that doesn't mean much - there's
lots of stuff I've never seen with Project ;-)

Just curious, you mentioned that the error message gives you another
option for a date. What is that option?

I can generate the same invalid date error if I try to enter a date form
that is different from my Windows Regional and Language Option setting.
For example, I use English (US) so if I try to enter an English (United
Kingdom) date, Project will give me the error. First make sure you
Windows date setting is appropriate for the date format you want to use,
then try again. If it still gives an error, I suggest you try running
Detect and Repair from the Project Help menu.
