Date / Time customizing columns?

Hi all,
Usually I have my projects set in the Options to show the date/time format
as that: "Date & Time (short format)".
Lately I've been doing "Job Plans" that span only 8 hours or less and the
man in charge would like to see only the time in the Start column, which is
easy to set in the Options set up, but then when I go back to a regular
project I have to re-set the option to date/time again.
Is there any way I can use a Start1-10 column and show only the time?
i.e. Extract the time from the Start date/time using a formula.
TIA, Colin D.

Yes, there is a fairly easy way to change the date/time format for
individual projects. Assuming that you spend most of your time in the Gantt
Chart view with the Entry table applied, you can change the date/time format
for the Entry table by doing the following:

1. Open a short project and apply the Gantt Chart view with the Entry table
selected
2. Click View - Table - More Tables
3. Make sure the Entry table is selected and then click the Edit button
4. Click the Date Format pick list and select the Date/Time format for this
project only
5. Click the OK button
6. If there are other Tables whose Date format you wish to modify, repeat
steps #3-5 for each Table
7. Save and close the project

The changes you make above affect the Date format for only the Tables you
change in only the projects you change. Otherwise, your Date Format setting
in the Options dialog controls the date format in every other Table. Hope
this helps.

Excellent, thanks Dale, it worked a charm.
I learn something new everyday from this group. I usually scan the whole ng
for answers before I post a question and usually I get most answers that
way.
This is one great resourxe for project problems.
Thx again,
Colin D.
