How can I calculate the time left from the end of a task and a project
deadline?
And can this be shown in a column?

Hi Andy,

I *think* what you are looking for is a task's Total Slack. The Total Slack
is calculated for you by Project and you may add the field (column) to any
Task Table.

Click your secondary mouse button over a column heading and choose Insert
Column. Find the Total Slack field and click OK to close the Column
Definition dialog box and insert the column to the left of the selected
column.

FYI - Slack refers to the float a task has before it becomes critical and
moves your end date. If you need to know how much time is left on a task you
can add a column for "Remaining Duration."
