Decreasing Graphic File Size

I have taken an oval, made it a circle, formatted it with a two color fill,
inserted an arrow inside it, then grouped the circle and arrow. Is there a
way to decrease the file size of this grouped graphic. I'm using a number of
these graphics in an Excel workbook, whose size has exceeded 4mb. With 9
more worksheets to add, this workbook is getting out of control. I really do
need to decrease the file size, without degrading the graphic quality.

I would definitely paste this graphic into Excel as a metafile and not an
embedded Visio object. Your file size will explode if you put a lot of
embeds into your Spreadsheet.

Have you check that the stencil document of your file is not filled with
master shapes that are not needed.
