decrypt a file

I saved a publisher file by burning it onto a cd/rw disc . I am now having
problems opening the file. I get an error message that reads "cyclic
redundancy check". What can I do to recover this file. It holds a lot of
family pictures.

That means the file data is likely corrupted. If you try on several PC's
to read it and you get the same error, you may find a data recovery firm
that will recover the contents.
