default form won't last

Hello again,
I don't understand. I am trying to define a post item as the default
form for a message folder (it seems that it's not possible to set
directly an IPM.Note.MyForm as the default form) using the folder
properties and when posting to this folder, use... But once it's done,
when i select an other folder and then select my message folder again,
the changes are cancelled ! It only lasts until I change my current
folder. Why ??? On the other hand, when I set a custom task form as
the default form for a tasks folder, everything is ok.
I found no help on outlookcode and support.microsoft.com.
Thank you.

Where is the folder located? What symptom indicates that your changes are
cancelled.?

Hello,
it does'nt depend on the folder location : I tried with folders in my
"main box" (i'm not sure the translation is correct : it is the mailbox
linked with my login. If i don't specify the sendername, i send with
it), and with folders in other mailboxes. Same result.
I know that the changes are cancelled because when I select an other
folder and then select again the folder in which I changed the default
form, the icon of the "new" button has changed back from pushpin to
envelop and when i click it the item opened is based on IPM.Note instead
of IPM.Post.MyForm.
Strange thing : in the folder properties, when posting to this folder,
use... is still set at IPM.Post.MyForm. But even if I reset it and click
Ok, it won't work again. I have to re-publish the same form in my folder
and reset it as the default form for the folder.
I simply don't understand. With tasks folders everything is OK. i am
using OL2OOO. The only thing I see is that the folders are on the
network, not my harddisk. But then why is it ok with taskfolders ?
Thank you for your help.

This is normal behavior for mailbox folders, if I remember correctly -- to
display the New Message icon. I suspect that if you used the New Post in The
Folder command, you'd get your custom form.
