Default toolbars

Hi all

Is there any way you can change what toolbars appear by default when you
open a program? For instance, whenever I open Word, the PDF toolbar comes up
by default, which I always have to close. Also, because I use the Tables &
Borders toolbar every day, I have to open this.

Is there a way you can default what toolbars do and don't appear??

Right-click any toolbar, clear those you don't want, check those you do... Are you
saying these settings don't stick?

Yes, I mean the setttings don't stick. I do all this every morning but then
when I close Word etc down and re-open it, the toolbars are back to how they
were before so I have to customise them again.

Your toolbars are missing, your menu bar is missing, or your personalized settings
are not retained when you start Word

My menu bar is there, my toolbars are there but my personalised settings are
not.
