Delete and next email

As I read my emails, I delete each email and Outlook brings up the
email above the one I just deleted. How do I change the settings to
provide that Outlook brings up the one just BELOW the one I have read?

I use Outlook 2000.

Go in to tools/options and then the preferences(tab).
Click on the "e-mail options...." button.
Change the drop down menu in the "after moving or deleting
an open item" section to "open the next item"
