Delete Block? No(Yes) in Word-how do I stop this?

When I select a group of words and hit the ‘Del’ key in Word I get: Delete
Block?No(Yes)-how do I stop this?

Tools | Options | General: Clear the check boxes for both options that refer
to WordPerfect.
