Delete email address that pops up automatically in To:

Several of my friends have email addresses that they no longer use.
When I start to type their new address into the To, Cc, or Bc: line,
their old email address pops up. The old address has been deleted from
my contacts folder, but it still pops up. How do I permanently delete
it?
THanks!

The answer to this is posted on a very regular basis - did you search first?
Select by the arrow key and press "delete".

When entering a new address and an old address appears ...use your arrow key
to highlight the old address and click delete. It will be removed from the
list.

Cheers

You can't "click" delete. There is no Delete button to click. You must
press the Delete key on the keyboard.
