delete from server

Is there a way to configure Outlook 2003, and the rules, so that mail place
in some folders cause the copy on the mail server to be deleted, while mail
placed in other folders leave the mail on the server (until I delete the
mail).

The goal here is to have most of my mail deleted from the mail server, but
things that I consider important, will remain on the mail server (for remote
access and backup) until I decide to delete them from the server. I would
like to use Outlook 2003 as my client mail program, but I can't resolve this
issue.

Thanks

No, the only option for delete from the server is when you empty your
deleted items folder.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the SWEN virus, all mail sent to my personal account will be deleted
without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, rwg asked:
