Deleted account still remains

I recently wiped my hard drive and have a problem since reinstalling
Outlook 2003. I imported the data from a backup which included an
email account that has been cancelled. I deleted it from the
Options|Mail Setup|Email Accounts area and now doesn't appear in the
list of accounts.

The problem is that when I hit Send/Receive, Outlook still tries to
access the account.

I searched the registry for traces of this account but didn't find
anything.

Any advice on where else to look to remove this account.

Hi Loren,
You can try to create a new profile or you can search for *.srs on the
computer. The .srs is the send/receive settings file for outlook. maybe if
you rename this file, the account may disappear. if not the profile should
work for you

Renaming the .srs did the job. Thank you very much both for the speed
