Deleted e-mails

Using Outlook 2003 & Exchange 2003.

Under tools>options>other, I have checked empty the
deleted folder when exiting. It has been working fine but
has stopped working. I have run a detect and repair in
Outlook but still can not empty the deleted folder while
exiting Outlook. Any ideas?

Does it work again after you manually emptied the Deleted Items folder once?
