Deleting Extra Lines

Hello

I am using Excel 2000 and have a questions. I have a
spreadsheet that has a list of information with two
colums and over 6000 rows. My problem is that every
other row is empty.

I am wondering if there is a function/formula I could use
to automatically delete the row that do not have any data.

For example row 1 has date row 2 is empty, row three has
data row 4 is empty etc etc etc.

Thanks in advance
