Deleting Meetings without Prompts

Sometimes in order to get my work calendar and home calendar in synch, I
will just delete one completely and copy the other one over. I can't synch a
PDA at work and cannot install any software at work, so some kind of synch
software is not possible.

When I do this though, any meetings that I have prompt me to "Delete and
send a response to the meeting organizer" or "Delete without sending a
response". Since I have about 3,000 events (most are not meetings), it does
take a while then to delete all the events as I have to keep selecting an
option on those prompts. Is there anyway to have it just delete the meetings
with sending a response?

Thanks,
Merg

Is there anyway to have it just delete the meetings with[out] sending a
response?

Try this: create a second calendar folder, display your main calendar in a
table view like "By Category", select all the items in the main Calendar with
Ctrl-A, then click and drag the selection to the second calendar or click
Edit>Move to Folder, specifying the second calendar as the destination. My
brief tests indicate Outlook won't ask you if you want to send a response when
you move the event and it might not cause Outlook to ask you if you want to
send a response when you delete it from the second calendar or simply delete
the entire second calendar folder (that part I didn't try because I didn't
have any throw-away events at the time I tried it).

Got it. That sounds like a good idea. I'll post back to this thread the next
time I try it.

Thanks,

Well, the trick is to move all the events to another calendar. Once there,
you can delete the calendar and then empty the deleted items folder. You
have to delete the second calendar and not just the event from the calendar.
That prevents the prompts from popping up.

Thanks for the help.
