deleting text

I have managed to turn on some feature whereas when I hi-lite text and hit the delete key, it will not delete the text until I hit a "Y" confirming that I want the block deleted. Can anyone tell me how to turn this feature off?

"Tools", "Options", "General" TAB. Uncheck the two items associated with
WordPerfect.

Select Tools > Options from the menu, select the General tab, and clear the Navigation Keys for WordPerfect Users checkbox.
