Hello
I just bought a brand new Dell. In my error I asked for it to be shipped with XP home edition thinking that I would get word, excel, powerpoint, outlook but no access which I use infrequently and have on my laptop anyway. To my horror I didn't get any of these programs instead getting MS Works which I find to be useless and not even really compatible with Office - the formatting is different between documents etc. I am going to buy, at considerably more expense, the latest edition of Office but don't want the old works even on my computer taking up space. I have found in the past that once installed these programs are notoriously difficult to get rid of. How does one completely uninstall works in order to install office? Do you uninstall works first? or install office then uninstall works? Any help gratefully receive
Thanks
