Diagram has "slid" off the page and will not stay when moved back

Visio 2007

I am a very new user of Visio. I have a diagram that was prepared by someone
who is no longer with the company. On some of the diagrams, the boxes have
slid off the "swim lanes". When I attempt to move them back on the page, they
pop back where they were.

Any ideas as to why this is??

Additional information: When viewed in Visio Viewer 2003, the diagrams are
fine!

In that case, it's probably something that is happening to the diagram
as it is being loaded. perhaps the default paper size/orientation is
now different and the diagram is re-drawing itself to suit.
Try changing landscape/portrait and a larger paper size. Maybe the
margins have been changed.

Thanks for the idea. Unfortunately, it didn't work. The paper size is 11 x 17
and already landscape.... any other ideas?

Ok, so what happens when you start Visio, set a larger paper size, set
this as the default, then load the diagram?

thanks for the suggestion. This didn't work either.

To clarify, only PART of the diagram has slid. The top half is in the swim
lanes as desired. It's as if there is a "wall" where one of the swim lanes
is. If you try to pull a box above the line, it pops back.

Well, from the earlier statement that it is OK in the viewer then the
current file is ok. It's almost certain that it is going wrong as it
is loaded because of the current settings.

Control Panel -> Printer
and set a large paper size as the default, even set a smaller paper
size, anything as long as it changes significantly. Does it affect the
diagram when loaded?
