Didtribute command

Is it possible to set the spacing between the selected objects when
using the DISTRIBUTE command?
Please understand that I am a relative Newbie with computers.

the way the distribute thing works is

you select several objects

powerpoint then 'distributes' then with equal space between them

It works best if all the objects are the same size.

There is a distribute for (left to right) and "top to bottom"

That's correct - you cannot set the spacing - as powerpoint will always
assign the 'same spacing' as it's distributing the objects fairly
