Difference between actual hours in Task usage and resource usage v

I am trying to extract some hours out of a plan. For some reason I am getting
different amount showing in the Task usage view to the resource usage view.

The resource usage view matches up to the timesheet, so I am inclined to
trust this view, but why isn't showing the correct number of hours in the
task usage view?

I am using MSP professional 2003, with server.
