Difference between % complete and % work complete

What is the difference between % complete and % work complete? How are
these two fields calculated?
I have a task set on fixed duration where the % work complete is 100
but % complete is at 75%. The tracker on the Gantt chart is showing
only 75%. In order to understand the reason for this, I need to first
understand what each number is truly representing.

Much thanks

Hello Judith,
%Complete = % of the Duration
% Work complete = % of the Work...
These 2 different "%" are not the same when the work is not evenly spread
over the task duration.
Ex : a 4 days task with "Fixed Duration".
The first 3 days have Actual work (8h /day for ex)
The last day has no work at all
Then you find that the % work complete is 100 but % complete is at 75%.

Hope this helps,
