different margins printing over lan

Hi,
I have two computer that are part of a lan, same
Windows2000 on both. The printer (HP 695C) is connected to
computer A. When I print in powerpoint 2000 from computer
b, I obtain a printed paper correct as regard text and
images, but all is shifted to a side of the sheet. The
same powerpoint document printed on computer B is printed
correctly and centered, as you can expect.
Printer settings and margins are the same on both
computers.
Any ideas?

Do you have the same version of the printer driver installed on both
systems? You should also check for the latest driver on the HP website.

Normally the unprintable margins of an inkjet printer aren't symmetrical ...
the trailing edge usually has a larger margin.

If PPT prints a slide sized to the full printable area, it will be off center
because of this.

Some of the newer inkjet printer drivers have an option to force centered
printing; this makes them report identical margins for the leading and trailing
edges. That way PPT sizes/prints slides centered, but a bit smaller than it
would normally.

Sounds like maybe you have this centering option set in one of the drivers and
not the other.

I don't know, but the drivers are the same version, as the
printer was installed as network printer on the computer
A, that use the W2K driver of computer B (I suppose).
Drivers are the latest given by HP for this kind of printer
Maybe I have to try to install the printer on both PC as
local?

Well, there is no options set, neither fit ot the page or
print to full printable area..default options only..aqnd
the printer is going worse..I tried to print a text box
like "T ggggg T", and it
printed out "TgggggT" all shifted to a side of the paper.
Tried also changing computer (the printer was tested on
two different PCs) and the parallel cable..same result. I
think the printer is going down and I have to change it.
