Different permissions in external and internal connections

Is there any possibility in MOPS 2007 to assign different permission level to
a user against internal or external connection?
For example, a user can change tasks accomplishment in "My tasks" during
internall session but can only read tasks in "My task" during external
session.

Can user use Project Pro 2007 during external connections to change project
file?
Forms authentication (SQL) will be used in external session.

Hi there,

I dont think this will be a possibility even more so when trying to use
"Mised Mode" authentication. If you do get it working though please let us
know

Egoncharov:

The system will see the Windows user and the Forms Authenticated user as two
different entities. In order for this to work, the system would have to
allow two logon modes for one user, which it will never support. Why aren't
you using Windows authentication for the extranet. Set this up over SSL and
you won't have any problems.

Thanks for the answers.

Can I use Windows authenticatin over SSL if user is not in Active Directory?
That is he is not a member of our Enterprise but takes part in a particular
project and must view project details.

Users either need to be AD accounts or Local Machine Accounts. Using the
latter can be complex to manage and fraught with issues. I suggest using AD
accounts wherever possible.

Unfortunately, the enterprise policy doesn't allow users which don't engaged
in our organization to have account in AD. What is the best way to provide
access for them to some of our project?
