Directly open a .pps file for editing

I've got a .pps file I'd like to edit. I can open PP and then
open the file through the interface, for editing. But I'd like to
be able to open the file directly in edit mode, by adding an
action to the context menu when I right-click on the file's icon.

Is there a way to do so?

Change it from pps to ppt. All done.

Perfect! And that gave me the switch info I needed to create a
new verb, &Edit, for .pps, so I can do it via the context menu.
