Template with Paste disables

Is there a template a Language Arts high school teacher could use for in
class essays that has paste function and drag function disabled? We have
students bringing in work on a flash drive or email and copying it into a
blank document.

Create a macro in the template named EditPaste and it will run in place of
the Paste command. But you will have to do it for all of the Paste
commands, and then you would also have to do something about the IncludeText
field and Insert>File command and probably quite a few other things as well.

And then your average student would probably be able to undo anything like
this that you try in no more than ten seconds.

Boy, as a writer, I'd be *pissed* if cut/paste were unavailable. I quit thinking
linearly decades ago.

Why don't you force them to use typewriters, if keystrokes are only valid in the
order entered.

When I was at school we wrote essays with a pen!

Me too -- in Blue Books passed out, or verified clean, immediately
prior. That'd be another fine option for this LA teacher.

Heck, he could add bonus points for penmenship, subtracting for each
little heart-dotted-eye.

It seems a lot has been lost by 'progress'. Any fool can copy someone else's
work.
