Disappearing Contacts

I'm experiencing contacts simply disappearing from
Outlook -- at lease three in the past few days. I'm the
only person who uses Outlook on this PC & people I've had
in my Outlook contacts for years are disappearing. Could
this be a virus? Is there a limit on the number of
contacts Outlook will hold -- I have 398 at the present.

Do you sync 2 computers through a network or a pda? This
may be a problem.

We had problems fairly recently where items would
disappear from our company calendar. So this could be the
problem.
