Disappearing Deletions!

Whilst deleting messages from my inbox, the outlook bar
icon & deleted items display will show the amount of
deletions in brackets. But when I go into the deleted
folder there are no deleted messages,in the folder.

I'm using Outlook 2000 sr1 on a W2Ksp2 machine.

Any suggestions.

Does the Deleted Items folder have a plus sign (+) next
to it? If so, click on it and you may see folders that
were deleted that contain unread items.

Right-click on the Deleted Items folder and click "Empty
Deleted Items Folder".
