Disappearing Messages

When I try to read the e-mail the message disappears after 3-5 seconds. No clue where it goes it just disappears!!!. It started doing it yesterday

???? Is it being *moved* to another folder, like Deleted, for example? Do
you have any message rules set? Tools>Rules and Alerts...

It is not moved to any other folder and I do not have any rules set. I checked the folders and they do no show up either. This is Outlook 2000.

Then you may want to consider ruling out parasites and other nasties. Go to

Have you changed your View to "Unread Messages"? Click View>Current
View>Messages. Also, make sure you haven't clicked the icon column so that
messages are sorted by icon instead of date.
