Disappearing Wordart

With FP2003, Wordart and Autoshapes only appear in the design mode, but when
switching to the preview mode, they disappear. I have checked the VML box
in the page authoring box, but this doesn't help. Other graphics appear
just fine. I have uninstalled and reinstalled FP2003, but this didn't help

Hope someone has a clue to what's happening?

Are you not yet set up with a server?

What happens when you view the page (s) in IE or NS browsers? Do you
see it then?

I've had no trouble, except sometimes they take a little longer to load.
