display a sequence of pictures

E

Everett Joline

I'm just starting with FrontPage, and am now just learning the basics, but I
know that eventually I'd like to be able to display a sequence of photos on
my page.. sortof like an animation but not exactly.

Since all clients will not get the downloads at the same rate, how do I
control this process?

Is there a good tutorial, book, or some sample code that I should read?

Thanks for help in getting me started,
E-Jo

Hi Everett,

FrontPage 2003 Inside / Out by Jim Buyens
I can't say enough about Jim's book. I have both FrontPage 2003 Inside/Out
and FrontPage 2003 Special Edition and if you only have monies to purchase
one, FrontPage 2003 Inside/Out is the best.

The easiest method to control a slide show of pictures is to allow the
visitor to select the display speed.

OK, thanks, Mike. I guess either of those books would explain how to do
that?

I already have Special Edition on order from Amazon, but it hasn't arrived
yet.

Refuse the shipment or send it back -- I'm not kidding, Jim Buyens book is
that good. If you make the purchase from http://www.bookpool.com you'll even
pay less for the book and the shipping.

The same -- no way.

FP3 I/O Chapter 24 is devoted to the FP Picture gallery Pg 655-669
FP3 SE Chapter 9 Picture Gallery Pg. 172 2/3 of the page.

The FP3 book contains a ASPX program to work with images.
