Display Baseline Start Finish on My Tasks Page

Hi all,

I am trying to display Baseline Start and Baseline Finish dates on My Tasks
page, in My Assignments view.

I am creating a custom field with forumla of [Baseline Start] then add it to
enterprise fields. Then I set baseline of the project, save and publish to
project server.

My custom field which displays Baseline dates are being displayed as
expected on Project Professional but not on PWA. In pwa, the column shows up
but is empty.

Any help is appreciated.

Why not simply use the actual baseline field? You're making this more
complicated than necessary. If you must use an Enterprise custom field
remember to do the following:

1) Make sure that you set the field to roll-down to the assignment level
2) Make sure that you recalculate and publish every schedule after you add
the field

Hi Gary,

Thank you for your reply, but can you be more explicit?

Where is the "acutal baseline" field?

* Is it in the available fields seciton, on my assignments view?
* What is setting field to roll-down to the assignment level?
* Should we do this 1. and 2. on Project Professional or on PWA?

Thanks.

Opethema:

The name of the baseline start field is called "baseline start." When you
add it to the My assignments view you have the option of two:

Baseline Start [assignment]
Baseline Start [task]

Choose the one that you believe is appropriate for your specific need. Most
likely you want to display the assignment value.

When you create a custom enterprise task field, in the page there is an
option section labeled "Calculation for Assignment Rows." In order for these
values to be seen at the assignment level, you need to choose the "Roll
down, unless manually specified " option.

You can do all of this in PWA.

Hi Gary,

Here are the screenshots of the steps i followed to create custom enterprise
field that should display baseline start date.

But i encountered the project server error 11717 which means:

"A roll down cannot occur on a formula custom field."

I believe that this may be an issue I've found in environments prior to SP2
or one of the later CU's. Patched environments can roll down formula fields
without any apparent difficulty.
