Distribution Lists not working

J

Jack Rooney

I recently had to reload Outlook 2000 and since that time
my distribution lists don't seem to work correctly. I
don't get any error messages nor do I get any
undeliverable mail messages but many people on the list
don't receive my email. When I delete and re-add all the
names it works fine. I have downes of lists with hundreds
of names each so that really isn't an ideal soultion.

Any help would be appreciated

"reload" Outlook 2000?
That sounds ominous.
What did you really do and why?

Ok you asked...

I had to Delete winsock and reload all networking
components and winsock. After that Outlook 2000 changed
from internet mail Only to Exhcange profiles and would not
start up. I couldn't do anyhting because it kept shutting
down. I backed up the .pst files. Uninstalled Outlook
2000, installed Outlook 200 and imported the old .pst
files.

I am thinking that I may need to apply the service packs.

I am thinking you lost the DL contents, especially if you switched mail
support modes along the way. DL's are very fragile and rarely survive
anything but directly reusing a PST in the same version in which they were
created.
